This morning Miss Bliss and I attended the Dawn Service at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
It is always a solemn occasion and today's was especially poignant as it was the centenary of the landing at Gallipoli. The crowd has been estimated at 120,000.
The address by the Chief of the Army Lieutenant General David Morrison was one of the best speeches I have heard in recent years.
There were so many men and women in the crowd wearing medals. Some were old, some young. My son has decided to join the Army. If he has leaders the calibre of David Morrison to guide him he will be in good hands.
